Itinerary
Airport Ferry Terminal
If you're staying at a property in Malé City, the Airport Ferry Terminal is easy to find and conveniently located on the northern waterfront of the island. Just head towards Boduthakurufaanu Magu, one of the main roads running along the northern coast. The terminal is directly opposite Maagiri Hotel, a well-known landmark that's easy to spot. You’ll see signs for "Airport Ferry" or "MTCC Jetty", and the area is typically active with ferries arriving and departing. If you're unsure, any local or hotel staff will happily point you in the right direction.
Kurumba House Reef
After a scenic 15–20 minute boat ride from Malé aboard a traditional Maldivian dhoani, your snorkeling guide will provide a safety briefing based on Green Fins – an international initiative promoting eco-friendly snorkeling practices. You'll also be assisted in selecting the correct size of snorkeling fins and gear to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. Once you're ready, your first snorkeling stop will be at the vibrant Kurumba House Reef, where you'll explore the crystal-clear waters and encounter a variety of tropical marine life in the Maldives.
Fish Tank
After a 20 to 25-minute boat ride, you’ll arrive at your second snorkeling destination — the famous Fish Tank, one of the Maldives' most popular snorkeling and dive sites. Known for its incredible abundance of marine life, this spot requires minimal swimming, as all the action happens in one compact area. You'll be surrounded by a vibrant display of reef fish in the Maldives, including banner fish, stingrays, giant moray eels, unicorn fish, vampire triggerfish, and many more exotic species. It's the perfect location for both beginners and experienced snorkelers to witness the Maldives’ underwater world up close.
Coral Garden
After a 10-minute boat ride, you'll reach your third and final snorkeling stop — the breathtaking Coral Garden. This site offers a powerful glimpse into the resilience of coral reefs in the Maldives, where even after harsh environmental changes, corals are regenerating and thriving. You'll see baby corals growing at the tips, beautifully shaded in hues of blue, pink, and purple, showcasing the reef's slow but steady recovery. This is a unique opportunity to witness Maldives coral restoration in action and learn about sustainable snorkeling practices. After your dive, you’ll enjoy a peaceful 20–25 minute return journey back, reflecting on an unforgettable underwater experience.
